Sargis Gasparyan

I am a theoretical astrophysicist at ICRANet-Armenia. My main scientific interest is in High Energy Astrophysics, namely the study of non-thermal processes in relativistic astronomical outflows. My ongoing research focuses on the theoretical study of the multi-messenger (photons along with neutrinos) candidate blazars.

I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at Bar Ilan University (Israel) with Prof. A. Pe'er. My interests cover the physics of gamma-ray bursts and more specifically the dynamics and emission of their relativistic jets. I am also interested in numerical techniques for the solution of relativistic magneto-hydro dynamics and relativistic kinetic equations.

My research interest focuses on high- and very high-energy astrophysics and, in particular, on data analysis of multiwavelength data and its theoretical interpretation. I investigate the radiation processes in relativistic jets by using multiwavelength/multimessenger data obtained from the observations of active galactic nuclei (blazars, radio galaxies, etc.).
